A separate PIN for payments
Your password gets you in. Moving money needs a 4-digit transaction PIN as well, so an unlocked phone isn’t enough to spend your balance.
Airtime · Data · Cable TV · Electricity
Top up SimpleData with a bank transfer, then recharge phones, renew TV and buy electricity in a few taps. If a biller can’t deliver, your money comes straight back.

Funding your wallet
No card is needed to get started. Most people fund with an ordinary bank transfer from whatever banking app they already use.
Verify your BVN or NIN and you get a dedicated account number in your name. Send money to it from any bank and it shows up in your wallet.
Card payments and one-off transfer accounts appear on the Add Funds screen whenever they’re available.
Got a code from us? Redeem it in the app and the value goes straight into your balance.
When something goes wrong
Networks and electricity companies have bad days. When a purchase fails, the amount goes back into your wallet by itself. You don’t need to fill in a form or wait for an agent.
Security
Your password gets you in. Moving money needs a 4-digit transaction PIN as well, so an unlocked phone isn’t enough to spend your balance.
Turn it on and signing in also needs a one-time code sent to your verified email or phone. A leaked password alone won’t open your account.
Your BVN and NIN are encrypted before they’re stored, so they can’t be read in plain text even with direct access to the database.
Changing your password signs out every other device straight away. Repeated wrong passwords or codes lock further attempts.
Your verification level sets your daily spending limit and the most your wallet can hold. Exact limits are shown in the app.
Refer & earn
Every account has a referral code. When someone signs up with yours and makes a qualifying purchase, a reward lands in your wallet. Your referral page shows who joined and what you’ve earned.
For developers and resellers
The Partner API uses the same wallet, prices and refunds as the app. Any verified account can create keys from Settings → Developer.

Questions
More answers are in the help centre, and once you have an account you can contact support from the app.
No. Opening an account and keeping money in your wallet is free. You pay for what you buy, plus a convenience fee only where a provider charges one, and that is always shown before you confirm.
The money is returned to your wallet automatically as soon as the provider confirms the failure. If a few minutes pass and it hasn’t landed, contact support with the transaction reference.
Usually a few minutes. If it’s been longer than 30 minutes and nothing is pending under Transactions, send support your transfer reference and we’ll trace it.
Once airtime or data has been delivered to a valid number it can’t be reversed, so check the number before you confirm. Purchases that actually fail are always refunded.
Some providers and bundles offer cashback, shown before you pay. It is added to your wallet only after the purchase succeeds.
It’s required to give you your own account number and raise your limits. You can buy with starter limits before that. Both numbers are encrypted before they’re stored.
Name, email, phone number and a password. That’s all it takes to start.
